How shall I store my jewellery when not in use?

It is important to note that all silver jewellery does eventually turn black/tarnish. Our care and storage instructions will help you prevent early tarnishing and prolong its usable life.

- Keep your silver in airtight zip lock plastic bags or covered in a cloth and enclosed in an airtight container when not in use. 

- Remove your jewellery when cleaning, swimming, working out and taking a shower. 

- Keep your jewellery away from products that contain bleach, ammonia, alcohol, nail polish removers that contain acetone, and turpentine. As these leave your jewellery beyond repair. If exposure occurs, immediately wash your jewellery with water to remove any chemical residue and dry thoroughly

- Remove your jewellery when sleeping. Movement during sleep can also cause stress or scratches.

- Jewellery should be the last thing you put on when your dress up to avoid getting it caught in your clothes.

How do I clean my jewellery?

Your silver jewellery can be safely cleaned 2-4 times a year. Simply dip it in a solution of lukewarm water and a couple of drops of dish soap and rub off any dirt or residue with a soft toothbrush or cloth. After cleaning, ensure that you thoroughly rinse and dry your piece so no moisture remains.

If your jewellery had crossed the 6 month warranty period and has tarnished or become black, it may be restored with the help of a professional. Simply visit your local jeweller and get your product re-polished or re-plated or bring it to one of our stores.

What is covered in your 6-month warranty period?

Our warranty period covers plating issues only. Any other form of damage is not covered. Plating issues refer to significant loss of shine or change in product colour, blackening/tarnishing or corrosion of the product or any other plating related issue. 

How to claim warranty?

If you are eligible to claim warranty, you can simply drop us a whatsApp on +910000000000 or email us on contact@starina.in and share images of the product(s). Once we receive your request, we will initiate a pick up within 2-3 days and ship a replacement once the claim has been accepted by us upon inspection of the product. 

In most cases, the exact same product will be shipped. However, in case the same product is unavailable, we will ship a similar product as the replacement. 

You may also visit our stores and bring the product and its packaging along to claim warranty. 

How do I pack my item for the reverse pick-up?

The item must be packed securely in its original packaging. If the original packaging is not available, please ensure the product is packed securely in a cloth or cotton padding and placed inside a small box.

How do I know I am eligible for warranty?

You are eligible for claiming warranty if you 

-Have purchased a Starina product.

-Are claiming warranty within 180 days of the date of delivery. 

-Are in possession of the original bill and the certificate of authenticity.

The care instructions for the products must be followed diligently. Exposure to perfumes, sanitisers, chlorinated water and other chemicals must be strictly avoided. The warranty does not cover any damage to the item due to deliberate harsh chemical exposure and if determined to be the case by us, the claim may be rejected.

What if my warranty claim is not approved?

The warranty does not cover any damage to the item due to deliberate harsh chemical exposure and if determined to be the case by us, the claim may be rejected.

In the event that your claim is rejected, the item will be returned to you. However, the customer will have to bear 2-way shipping charges for the same. 

In the event of rejection of claim, the Eligible Product(s) will be returned to you on payment of two-way shipping cost. In case the packaging material is missing, the company has the right to deny the claim.
